The Lord has blessed us abundantly and we feel led to share our cozy mountain
cabin with Christian clergy, missionaries and full-time workers who are serving the
Lord. We have seen the statistics on how many clergy leave each year and the
stress that is placed on the pastor and his/her spouse and family.
The cabin is offered at no charge to Christian clergy, missionaries, and other
full-time workers and their families who are engaged in the service of our Lord
Jesus Christ. The cabin is available for one week stays (Sunday to Sunday) and is
open twelve months. However, reservations must be made in advance to assure
availability.
The getaway cabin is located on over eight acres of tree lined property and sits
serenely at the rear of the property. Each cabin is fully furnished and can
accommodate up to six people. There is also a bunk room to sleep four more.
We are located between Jamestown and Oneida, Tennessee and near both Pickett
State Park and Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. We are about 100
miles north of Knoxville and 15 miles from the Kentucky line at an altitude of 1600'.
We are taking reservations for 2009. We hope to have our second retreat cabin
open in August or September. If you have friends who are full-time Christian
workers, you may want to consider reserving both cabins and vacation together.
NEWS: We are aiming at having the 2nd cabin ready by September 7. However, a
neighbor has a very nice, brand new log cabin that is furnished (two bedroom, two
bath, queen hide-a-bed) in the woods that he would rent to pastors for $25 a night.
